PERSECUTION HAPPENS

Throughout history persecution has happened. Why do we believe that it should not affect us? It will affect us.

End time prophesy in the Bible tells us that persecution will happen. We are starting to see it more, even now. If we stand for Biblical principles, against sin, we are called intolerant, extreme or haters.

When the cancel culture calls Christians intolerant, haters and extremists they are really calling God intolerant, a hater and an extremist. He can't tolerate sin. God sets the standard for what is morally right and morally wrong. If we don't speak, society won't persecute us. If we do speak, society will punish us. God may protect us or we may die. Either way, evil will try to drown out and extinguish the flame of good. We need to please God, our Father in Heaven; not society.

If we don't speak we will be considered fearful, according to God, and we will be punished by Him. He judges timid, fearful people along with murderers, unbelievers and liars. We must be brave.

In Revelation, at the first resurrection, the souls at that point have been beheaded for sharing the Gospel, their testimonial or witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God. These souls did not worship the Antichrist nor his image - nor got his mark on their foreheads or in their hands - and they live and reign with Christ a thousand years. The mark is coming. Never take it.

One day we will live with God and there will be no more tears, or death, or sorrow, or crying, nor any pain. We live and strive to be with our Father in Heaven, in His pure loving care. Until that time, we battle and struggle, and sometimes we suffer. When captured or persecuted - even to death - don't worry about what you will say, as the Holy Spirit will speak.

God will not leave us, so we don't need to fear what man can do to us. We need to do what God calls us to do. We must use the gifts that our Father in Heaven has given us. We must repent when we sin and ask for forgiveness, and begin again! Don't give up. Even if we fail to do everything exactly right, God knows our heart and will perfect our work and use it for His good. Work tirelessly this one time in life on earth - and in eternity we will have promises the of God.

2 Timothy 3:12

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Isaiah 66:5

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word;
Your brethren that hated you,
that cast you out for my name's sake, said,
Let the LORD be glorified:
but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 21:3-4

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:7-8

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

1 Peter 1:6-9

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Mark 13:10-11

And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Luke 12:11-12

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Matthew 5:43-48

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Hebrews 13:5-6

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Hebrews 10:36-39

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:35-39

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

1 Timothy 5:8

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Psalms 82:3-4

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

John 15:12-13

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Mark 8:34-38

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
