USEFUL ACTIONS

Most Christians are frustrated and throw their hands up in the air, and weakly proclaim that there isn't anything they can do. We know God frowns on not being brave, giving up and submitting to evil. We are called to be bold - and not timid. So, we have a job to do. We can't escape this world and all that is going on. We are part of it, like it or not. We are called to act. The more we do in faith, the braver we are.

As Christians, we love God, our neighbors and ourselves. We read the Word of God. We take care of our brothers and sisters in Christ and share our skills, tools, water and food. We help them.

As Christians, we watch and pray. We don't have our eyes closed. We have our eyes open and we see. We see with eyes that see and we hear with ears that hear. This is spiritual sight and hearing. We come out from the areas of sin and are separate.

The next basic steps we can take are really useful actions.
There are still good people out there fighting the good fight. We can pray specifically for our country and those people - and pray for their protection. We can donate to good and honorable organizations, and tithe properly to our local churches. We can convict the hearts of pastors, to help them teach the true Word when we need it most.We can influence those who lead us. Fellowship with those who love God. We repent when we do wrong.

We can donate to and vote for leaders or politicians who are worthy and who support, for example, unborn lives, freedom of speech, soldiers, the Constitution, Christian religion and our freedom. Jesus is not running for political office, so Christians can't use the excuse that the man or woman running for office isn't perfect. No candidate will be perfect, but he can be used by God. In the Bible it says those leaders care for our souls. We can certainly see which leaders do that and which ones are evil. Our Father in Heaven never wishes for us to support evil. It also says that those leaders will have to give account for their actions. Many Christian give us, justifying this position because they feel that we should support all leaders, even if those leaders wish to persecute Christians, silence their voices, and separate them from their Savior. It is not the case. We are not on the side of evil satan. We are on the side of our Holy God.

We can do simple things and complicated things. We can sign petitions and peacefully demonstrate to have our voices heard and to encourage those fighting for us. We can become leaders, mentors and activists for worthy causes. We can volunteer and help others. We can help people be aware of the issues and educate them to help. We can share the Gospel with others so they may be saved.

We think it is too difficult and there is opposition at every turn! There is a gift for that, too! In almost every situation, we can see how a Christian with a spiritual gift is empowered to handle a situation. As a church body, or as a group of Christians working togather in a neighborhood or organization, we can do all things through Christ. God knows our heart and He can work through us, to accomplish things we could normally never do!

Does this still seem overwhelming? Well, the Holy Spirit is here to help! The Holy Spirit can warn us and teach us. The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ and renews the life of the sinner when he becomes a believer in the salvation of Christ. He baptizes the believer into the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells, instructs, intercedes, fills, comforts, guides and empowers. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. We have a Comforter in the Holy Spirit - and He speaks to the Father on our behalf - when we have no strength to pray.

We may have a bitter pill to swallow. God may punish our nation or our society. We will watch and will know that this punishment is just. Society has declined and the bad is rising to the top and we will all see it. Watch for God to reveal it and then pray that He will remove it! We believe in faith, not what we see. There is a physical reality and spiritual reality. As Christians, we live in the spiritual realm and that is where our battle lies; we are not obsessed with the physical worldly realm. We will pray for God's protection over Christians, as He cleans house.

We fight the good fight against evil and for God until we die, or until Christ returns to catch us up with Him in the clouds. Study end times events and know we will be here only a short time. Pray that everyone we love is saved soon. Work as God leads and produce some good fruit in this life!

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

1 John 4:4

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Matthew 28:19

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Acts 20:28-29

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Hebrews 13:17

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Matthew 24:29-33

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
