COMFORT

After Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day, He spent time on earth speaking to Mary and to the Apostles. He told them that He was not leaving them alone even though He was ascending to heaven to His Father. He gave us great comfort and hope, because He left us the Holy Spirit. A person of God - one of the Trinity - to indwell in us as saved Christians! It is am amazing thought to realize that the Holy Spirit lives inside us - and all that He is capable of, in helping us to live a life pleasing to the Father.

WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
Understanding the indwelling

How can we go wrong, if the Holy Spirit literally indwells within our body? We can't! There is nothing too big - too hard in life to handle, from this perspective! When you become a believer of Jesus Christ, you ask for forgiveness of sins and accept the gift that God the Father has given us: His Son's death and ressurection. He paid for our sins - He bore all sins of our past, present and future! Not only did He do this for us - but He left behind a Comforter - the Holy Spirit. We will never be alone again!

The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ and renews the life of the sinner when he becomes a believer in the salvation of Christ. He baptizes the believer into the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells, instructs, intercedes, fills, comforts, guides and empowers. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.

Ac 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
