COMMUNION
What does it really signify?
Jesus told us to celebrate communion in remembrance of him, until He returns.
We examine ourselves, looking inward and we proclaim Christ. We remember that Chirst bore our sins, gave his life for us and rose again. We consider also
that we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter that He promised would
live within us. We are truly righteous - reconciled to God - through His Son, Jesus Christ. We have eternal life, and we are free from the curse of the law.
When we practice the act of communion, we are doing what Jesus told us to
do, in faith. We take in His Body and His Blood, into ourselves. When we take
the blood of Christ, we contemplate that we, through the power of the Holy Spirit, will live a life that is Christlike. When we take the body of Christ, we take in His health, His success and His prosperity. We are redeemed by Jesus Christ and God wants us to live life abundantly.
TITHE
We show God how much we love and trust him
In the Old Testament, God asks us to return 10% of what we earn to Him. This was an Old Covenant requirement. In the New Testament, under the New Covenant, we know we will not be cursed if we fail to tithe. However, it is an expression of our love for the Father who takes care of us. All of what we have is His, and in our trust and our love, we wish to give back to Him, so that His kingdom will be increased. If we tithe now it is under grace, a gift to God and of a cheerful heart.
Our lives will change when we start to tithe, trusting the Lord. God is so faithful and He takes the tithe money and multiplies it back to us! He uses our tithes to do great things for the communities we live in. A tithe is supposed to be given to a local church, so the pastor can feed the sheep within a local community. Not only teaching them, but helping them in time of great need or emergency.
It is to fill the storehouses and to send missionaries out spreading the gospel.
If you give to TV or web site ministries - or support Family Life Network radio - or some other media or organization, that is something you do out of your heart.
A freewill offering is given to the church to use for special projects or special needs, and again this is something you feel in your heart you want to do.
It is our desire to to tithe, help put missionaries in the field and support Chirstian organizations, and we each do what we can do - after praying about the matter, to know what God would have us to do. Don't forget, we can give back to God in many ways - our time, our finances and our prayers!

Mt 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.
1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
